Terms of Use

Welcome to Harvest 21. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Harvest 21 website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by Harvest 21 (“Harvest 21,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
1. Purpose of Harvest 21
Harvest 21 is a faith-based nonprofit platform designed to encourage and facilitate financial support, prayer, communication, and engagement for individuals and organizations dedicated to sharing the gospel.
Harvest 21 does not replace churches, mission agencies, or other sending organizations, but exists to support and complement their work.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the presence of a missionary, church, mission agency, ministry, or other organization on the Platform does not constitute an endorsement, accreditation, background check, or guarantee by Harvest 21 regarding that person or organization.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform.
By using Harvest 21, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old, are legally able to enter into a binding agreement, and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
If you are using the Platform on behalf of a church, mission agency, ministry, nonprofit organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to act on behalf of and bind that organization with respect to your use of the Platform.
3. Accounts and Responsibilities
Some features of the Platform require account registration.
You agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information
Keep your account information reasonably current
Maintain the confidentiality and security of your login credentials
Accept responsibility for activity that occurs under your account
Promptly notify Harvest 21 if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization
You may not use another person's account without authorization or create an account using false or misleading information.
Harvest 21 reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or Platform policies.
4. Donations and Payments
Harvest 21 is a nonprofit organization recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Platform enables users to make charitable contributions intended to support missionaries, ministries, and other charitable purposes facilitated through Harvest 21.
Donations made through the Platform are voluntary and generally non-refundable, except where required by law or where Harvest 21 determines that a refund is appropriate.
Donations may be designated to support a particular missionary, ministry, project, or other charitable purpose offered through the Platform.
All donations remain subject to Harvest 21's responsibility to administer charitable funds in accordance with applicable law and Harvest 21's charitable purposes.
Donation and payment processing may be provided through third-party payment processors.
Harvest 21 may receive and temporarily hold funds for processing, administrative, accounting, compliance, or distribution purposes.
Harvest 21 may deduct or collect disclosed processing, Platform, or administrative fees where applicable.
Harvest 21 does not guarantee that every payment or transaction will be successfully processed or distributed within a particular period.
The tax treatment or deductibility of a contribution may depend on applicable law and the circumstances of the contribution. Donors should retain applicable donation receipts and consult their own tax advisors regarding their individual circumstances.
Harvest 21 reserves the right to reject, return, redirect, suspend, or otherwise take appropriate action regarding a contribution when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, prevent fraud or misuse, address an unavailable or ineligible designation, or further Harvest 21's charitable purposes.
5. No Employment or Agency Relationship
Use of the Platform does not create an employment, agency, partnership, fiduciary, franchise, or joint venture relationship between Harvest 21 and any user, missionary, church, mission agency, ministry, or other organization.
Harvest 21 does not supervise, direct, or control the day-to-day ministry activities of missionaries or organizations listed on the Platform unless expressly stated otherwise.
Missionaries, churches, mission agencies, ministries, and other organizations are responsible for their own activities, representations, conduct, and compliance with applicable law.
6. User Content
Users may submit or make available content through the Platform, including biographies, ministry information, updates, prayer requests, photographs, videos, messages, comments, or other materials (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant Harvest 21 a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, store, use, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise make the User Content available as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, improve, and promote the Platform. This license continues for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services or fulfill the purposes for which the content was provided, subject to applicable law.
You represent and warrant that:
You own the User Content or have all rights and permissions necessary to submit and use it through the Platform
Your User Content does not violate applicable law or the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person
You have obtained any permissions or consents reasonably necessary before submitting personal information, photographs, stories, prayer requests, or other information concerning another person
Your User Content is not intentionally false, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, obscene, or otherwise unlawful
Some User Content may include information concerning religious beliefs, ministry activities, family members, health circumstances, prayer requests, or other personal or sensitive matters. You are responsible for considering the privacy of other individuals before posting information about them.
Content that you choose to make public may be viewed, copied, or shared by other users or members of the public. Harvest 21 cannot control how third parties use information after it has been made publicly available.
Harvest 21 may remove or restrict User Content that violates these Terms, applicable law, Platform policies, or the purposes and mission of Harvest 21.
7. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the Platform for unlawful, misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes
Impersonate another person or organization
Misrepresent your identity, ministry affiliation, fundraising purpose, or other material information
Harass, threaten, exploit, or abuse another user
Post or transmit content that violates applicable law or the rights of another person
Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful technology
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, networks, or data
Interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the Platform
Scrape, harvest, collect, or use information from the Platform through unauthorized automated means
Use information obtained through the Platform for spam, unauthorized solicitation, fraud, harassment, or other improper purposes
Circumvent security measures or restrictions imposed by the Platform
Use the Platform in a manner that materially undermines, disrupts, or misrepresents Harvest 21's charitable mission
Harvest 21 reserves the right to remove content or restrict access to the Platform when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law, maintain security, or protect the integrity and mission of Harvest 21.
8. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content and third-party materials, Platform content, including Harvest 21's name, logos, trademarks, text, graphics, software, design elements, and other materials, is owned by Harvest 21 or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, or commercially exploit Harvest 21's protected content without prior written permission, except as permitted by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of Harvest 21's intellectual property.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Harvest 21's collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to review the Privacy Policy.
Where applicable law requires consent for particular processing activities, Harvest 21 will seek such consent separately as required by law.
Users who submit personal information concerning other individuals are responsible for having an appropriate right, authorization, permission, or other lawful basis to provide that information to Harvest 21.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Platform may use, integrate with, or contain links to third-party websites, payment processors, authentication providers, communications services, or other third-party services.
Harvest 21 does not control these third parties and is not responsible for their independent content, availability, security, privacy practices, terms, or conduct.
Your interactions with third-party services may be governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
11. Platform Role and Missionary Information
Harvest 21 provides technology and services intended to help connect missionaries, supporters, churches, mission agencies, ministries, and other participants.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Harvest 21 does not independently verify every statement, qualification, ministry activity, financial need, theological position, background, or representation made by users, missionaries, churches, ministries, or organizations appearing on the Platform.
Users are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment before donating, communicating, entering into relationships, or relying upon information provided by another Platform participant.
Harvest 21 does not guarantee the conduct, performance, continued ministry service, financial practices, suitability, or effectiveness of any missionary, church, ministry, mission agency, or other organization.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.”
Harvest 21 makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding:
Platform availability, reliability, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation
Financial outcomes, fundraising results, or ministry success
The accuracy of User Content
The suitability, qualifications, conduct, or effectiveness of missionaries or organizations
The availability or performance of third-party services
The security or uninterrupted transmission of information through the internet
Use of the Platform is at your own risk, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Harvest 21 and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Platform, including loss of funds, data, opportunities, goodwill, or ministry opportunities.
Harvest 21 is not responsible for the acts, omissions, representations, or conduct of users, missionaries, churches, ministries, mission agencies, or other third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
14. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Harvest 21 and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and representatives from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses arising from or related to:
Your violation of these Terms
Your unlawful or improper use of the Platform
User Content you submit
Your violation of another person's rights
Your violation of applicable law
This provision does not apply to the extent prohibited by applicable law.
15. Termination
Harvest 21 may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Platform if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, applicable law, Platform policies, or the rights of another person, or when reasonably necessary to protect the Platform, its users, security, or Harvest 21's mission.
You may stop using the Platform at any time and may request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy and available account-management features.
Termination of an account does not necessarily require Harvest 21 to delete records that must be retained for legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, security, donation-recordkeeping, or other legitimate purposes.
Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect following termination.
16. Changes to These Terms
Harvest 21 may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our practices, or applicable law.
When we make changes, we will update the Effective Date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as required by applicable law.
Your continued use of the Platform after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires additional notice or affirmative consent.
17. International Users
Harvest 21 is based in the United States, but the Platform may be accessed by users in other countries.
If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you are responsible for complying with laws applicable to your use of the Platform in your jurisdiction.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit consumer, privacy, data protection, or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived or limited under the laws applicable to you.
Information concerning Harvest 21's processing of personal information, including information regarding users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, is provided in our Privacy Policy.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate state or federal courts located in South Carolina.
Nothing in this section deprives a consumer of any mandatory protection or right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction where such right cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms or policies expressly applicable to particular features of the Platform, constitute the agreement between you and Harvest 21 concerning your use of the Platform and supersede prior agreements concerning the same subject matter.
